Summer GHCC Wedding

It was such a pleasure getting to spend the day with this amazing couple for their GHCC wedding! They were a blast to work with throughout their entire planning process and throughout the wedding day.

I started off the day getting ready with Emily and her girls, including some pretty cute flower girls. She was such an organized bride with all of her details ready to go when I got there. Once Emily got her dress it was great to capture the reaction from her Dad as he saw her for the first time in her dress.

They decided not to do a first look but instead have the first look at the altar which was a beautiful moment to capture. The full ceremony allowed plenty of time to move around and capture some fun angles, of course having a second photographer helps with this also!

We went down to Wethersfield Cove for the family and bridal party photos. This was such a nice backdrop for their images. The trees in the area provided some nice shade so we could not only beat the heat but also have some great lighting. After that we went down to Historic Wethersfield for some pictures of just Tyler & Emily. The Hurlbut-Dunham House was a great place to start with it’s beautiful architecture. From there we ventured across the street in front of the Webb-Stevens house which is where it got really interesting.

As we were walking over to the ice cream shop to enjoy a scoop for some photos we saw out of the corner of our eyes, snow. Okay, I know what your thinking…there isn’t snow in September in Connecticut but hey there it was. I was told that Hallmark was shooting a new Christmas movie there and the set was still up. Of course we just had to take some images in front of the beautiful barn.

Glastonbury Hills Country Club was an incredible spot for their reception. They have not only great views but also a newly renovated reception room with a ton of natural light coming through the large windows. Everyone danced the night away and had a great time.

Check out some of their images below or head over to some of my other blog posts!
