M & D: Summer Hops Company Wedding
Everyone had a blast at Marc & Danielle’s Hope Company wedding this past summer! We all know that weddings may have looked a bit different during these times but the feels were still very much the same if not more!
When I first met Marc & Danielle they were a little bit on the quiet side, which hey if you’ve met me you know I can be the same way, but very quickly we were laughing and having a good time. I knew that we’d be an awesome fit for their wedding! This had me looking forward to their engagement session which was such an awesome time at Hawk’s Ridge Winery.
Fast forward to their wedding. With everything still going on and the restrictions in place these two were still so excited to get married no matter what, which is definitely something that I love about them. They’re both nurses working in the ICU and ER, another reason I admire them, and were still able to re-plan their wedding and switch venues fairly last minute!
Which brings us to their wedding day! Danielle had her hair and makeup done onsite at the Hops Company which has a pretty big “bridal suite”, I put it in air quotes because it’s more like a house which gave us plenty of room. I probably say this a lot but getting ready is one of my favorite parts of the day. There is so much emotion, excitement, joy, and sometimes anxiety, but with emotion comes wonderful images.
Following getting ready we set up for the first look. It started to sprinkle right before this so we changed it up and used the beautiful bar space which has doors that open the whole side of the building allowing for the light to stream in and stay dry, win-win. This also made for a great spot for the family and bridal party photos, with the light coming in it created great separation from the background placing the focus right on the groupings.
After the first look and some of the posed portraits we ventured over to St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church for their ceremony. I really enjoy getting to see ceremonies from all backgrounds, each having their own unique pieces to them. After their ceremony we finished up some of the portraits inside and then a few outside on the stairs with the bridal party. The light coming through on the top of the stairs made for some great portraits.
Time to party! Though masks are required for certain areas everyone had a great time! People were able to get out onto the dance floor and spend time with people they may not have seen in a while.
