Rocky Neck Engagement Session
What a beautiful evening with gorgeous light for Berto & Larissa’s Rocky Neck engagement session! These two won one of my engagement session giveaways. They had such a great story and it was cool that they both filled out the entry form so I got the hear the story of how they met and fell in love from both points of view.
Their Story
“Berto was stationed in New Orleans, LA, and I was living in Los Angeles, CA. We both flew back to the northeast for Christmas, and each took a trip up to Boston to visit a (unbeknownst to us) mutual friend. So, I’m at the bar with my friends, and then along comes Berto… we hit it off immediately, like nothing either of us had experienced before. The next day, I was going to a bar crawl in New Hampshire… and Berto took a bus all the way up there to join me! We had our first “real” date in NYC a few days later, and again, had the time of our lives. A few days after that, he flew back to New Orleans and I flew back to Los Angeles. We spent the next few months flying back and forth, until I eventually moved down to New Orleans! Exactly two years later, back in the city where we first met, Berto got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. We’re stationed in CT now (my home state) and are so excited to plan our wedding together here!”
When they mentioned that they wanted to start their engagement session in their home I was so pumped! It’s not often that people invite you over to capture them in such an environment. We had some wine and hung out in the chair and on the couch before going to the back porch.
Rocky Neck State Beach
We then took a short drive to the beach down the road where we popped some champagne. I always get nervous when the champagne pops as you never know where the cork will end up….I’m usually in front of it.
Rocky Neck was the last stop of the night. As we were on our way there I got nervous as I saw the sun dip below the clouds. Walking through the tunnel it was a beautiful surprise to see the pastel colors of the sunset. Quickly moving to the jetty we set up and got some great images.
