Owenego Inn Wedding

We couldn’t have asked for a better day for Isaac & Kate’s Owenego Inn wedding!

We started out the day getting ready at the Omni Hotel in New Haven which is where I had the pleasure of photographing the rehearsal dinner the night before. It’s always nice when the couple gets ready in the same location so I have the opportunity to bounce back and fourth between rooms to capture both getting ready. The first look with the brides brothers and father were awesome, I love the reactions that we got!

We went to Owenego Inn for their first look. The sun was right overhead so we found a nice shady spot under a tree that had a beautiful backdrop. They were so excited to see each other.

After some bridal portraits and some shots with the bridal party we took the family photos. This fell into place nicely allowing the couple to spend some time at cocktail hour before taking a large group photo looking down from the gazebo.

The ceremony was in a beautiful spot overlooking the water. The couple had some old doors lying around their home that they used at the beginning of the aisle, a nice touch. The fathers of the bride and groom conducted the ceremony making it extra special.

We had a nice surprise during the reception as the fathers of the bride and groom came out in sumo outfits and proceeded to chest bump and dance on the dance floor, it was pretty epic! Later 2 guests came out in t-rex outfits which was also pretty awesome. The Ben & Jerry’s ice cream truck came to the reception which was a nice treat at the end of the night.
