M & N: Tented Wedding at Maneely’s

When I first met Melissa & Nora I just knew that I wanted to photograph their wedding. First off they are just the sweetest and kindest people you’ll ever meet, but most importantly, they are in love and let it show. After photographing their engagement session at the Mystic Seaport I just knew we would have a lot of fun on their wedding day.

As we all know…2020 threw a lot of curve balls and many punches, but that did not stop these two from getting married. They were able to transition their wedding from indoors to having a beautiful tented wedding at Maneely’s on the front lawn.

Let me tell you what, they did not disappoint! From the moment I arrived these two and their bridal parties we loads of fun. They made me feel as if I was a part of the group and that makes my job that much easier. We started out the day in the hotel, Melissa & Nora got ready in separate rooms but it made it so much easier to photograph both since they were in the same hotel. After Nora finished getting ready I went back over to Melissa and we went over to the venue to finish up by putting on her dress. They both read letters they wrote each other and opened their gifts. This was such a beautiful moment.

Now for one of the most exciting moments of the wedding day, aside from actually getting married, the first look! I love first looks, they’re such a private and intimate moment that I get to document. I like to keep a little bit of distance during these times so that I don’t interrupt the moment. Their reactions were priceless!

Check out some of their images below or feel to reach out to me if you have any questions or would like to talk about your wedding!
