K & S: Latitude 41 Wedding

Kyle & Shannon’s wedding at Latitude 41 in Mystic, CT was such an amazing wedding to photograph! I knew it was going to be a fun time after the first time I met them, they are one of the sweetest couples ever.

We started out the day at the Mystic Marriott where both Kyle & Shannon got ready. We put together a timeline which allowed enough time for me to bounce back and fourth between both of them to capture getting ready photos. This is a great alternative to having two photographers.

Once they were both ready we went over to the Mystic River for their first look right on the boardwalk. This is one of my favorite parts of a wedding day; it allows for the couple to have a private moment where it’s just them…and the photographer, but I try to keep a little distance so they can just take it in. The Mystic River area was a perfect spot for the bridal party photos and well as some of just the couple. Even though it was November we had perfect weather to be outside by the water.

The entire bridal party got into the trolley which took them over to the church for the ceremony. This was such a unique way to arrive to the ceremony.

We then spent some time after the ceremony walking around the Mystic Seaport, where Latitude 41 is located, which is such an amazing backdrop for photos. If you’ve never been to the seaport I would highly recommend checking it out. There were some tall ships docked that we were able to photograph with and as the sun went down we had an amazing sunset which lit up the sky with purple and pink!
