Golden Hour Harkness Park Engagement
We had such great lighting for Kyle & Shannon’s Harkness Park engagement session. These two were a blast to hang out with and their chemistry made my job so easy! I love to capture the interaction of my couples as a way to show who they are, as every couple is unique.
We started off by the green house which has some lovely overgrown paths that just went so well with Shannon’s yellow dress. From there we walked around one of the buildings which seems to be under construction, which could be be really awesome as it is such a beautiful building.
We went over to the garden next to the building where my favorite tree is located. I always forget to write down what kind of tree it is but I think it’s a type of Japanese Maple which is over 100 years old! I always find it remarkable the way this tree had grown with so many curves, there is always a new angle to try inside of it.
Next we went to one of my favorite spots which is the garden for ceremonies that has some really neat pillars to work with. We popped some champagne which shot out of the bottle pretty high.
After that we went over to the Eolia Mansion which has a few gardens surrounding it. We busted out some sparklers for some unique photos. Its fun to try and use light sources that doesn’t involve the sun or strobes.
We ended the evening with some more sparkler shots, this time using the sparklers in the foreground to frame them as a strobe light them from the side. It was so much fun to try something new!
Check out some of their images below or head over to some of my other blog posts! I can’t wait for their wedding next November!
