Downtown Mystic Engagement Session
It was such a beautiful day for an engagement session in Downtown Mystic, CT. We started out at the Mystic River Park which has a great view of the draw bridge as well as the buildings along the river.
Mystic is a great area for pedestrians, the traffic stop at the cross walks for you. We took a little advantage of this and grabbed some photos crossing the street with the bridge in the background.
The gears of the bridge made for some cool images as Jena & Pat had a little quite time while I photographed them from across the street. While taking some picture on Main st the bridge opened. This was great timing as we ventured to the middle of the road for some shots with it up. The counterweights on the bridge always make me nervous. When you walk under them it’s just these massive concrete blocks looming over head.
We then strolled over to River St. to try and find some shape to use. The brick buildings made for a great backdrop as we got some nice closeup images.
Lastly we went over to Red 36 which is one of their favorite local bar/restaurants. They were great and allowed us to take some pictures out on the patio with the boats and river.
Check out some of their images below or some of my other blog posts!
