After photographing the engagement session with Lindsay and Kyle, I just knew that their Lake of Isles wedding would be a blast.  The connection between these two is easy to see.  They had a beautiful ceremony at the Cathedral of Saint Patrick in Norwich, CT. This is such a beautiful church, but interior is beautifully decorated and just looks gorgeous and photos. Even during the ceremony these two could not keep their eyes off of each other.  After the ceremony we went over to the Howard T. Brown Memorial Park located in Norwich right on the river.  It may have been cold but that didn’t stop us.  After spending some time at the park we headed over to Lake of Isles golf course for cocktail hour and some more portraits.  The live band kept at one on the dance floor all night long.  Everyone had such a great time celebrating the marriage of this wonderful couple. I couldn’t have had a better time getting to know CJ & Alicia, during their engagement session and their Farmington Club wedding! They are such a sweet couple whose chemistry just flows into every image. I started out the day hanging out with the girls as they got ready with hair and makeup. From there we went over to St. Pauls Church in Glastonbury, CT. This was such a  beautiful church with an abundance of natural light, which can be fairly uncommon in churches. Capturing the image of CJ seeing Alicia come down the aisle was just full of emotion! We used some time after the ceremony for some family portraits as well as some images of CJ & Alicia. Afterward we went over to the Farmington Club to finish up the family portraits as well as some of just Alicia & CJ! From their it was time for introductions, always such a fun part of the night as everyone is very excited to see the bride and groom enter and go into the first dance. They danced on a cloud as the guests looked onward. This was the first wedding I’ve photographed where there was an audience flash mob, which was completely unexpected by the bride and groom, they loved it! Check out some of my other blog posts!

The days started out with some rain but not long before the wedding was to kick off the rain stopped and help off through out the night! Shaw & Kass had such a beautiful White Memorial Conservation Center wedding surrounded by family and friends, all of which had a great time playing games and listening to the live band. They even had a special performance by one of the guests, he rocked out with the band for a few songs on both the guitar and the harmonica! They ended the night with a bang as fireworks burst over the canopy. Check out some images from their amazing day!

Eric & Amanda’s wedding at The Farmington Club was one for the books! We started out the day with the ladies getting ready, the natural light in the room was amazing! After the dress was on we went outside for a surprise for Amanda. Her parents rented a nice silver Rolls-Royce for her to take to the church and then the Farmington Club. Eric & Amanda started out their reception by dancing on a cloud, the dry ice provided for a nice floor covering. Everyone danced the night away, and even sang a song to the bride.

Let’s be honest- most couples cross their fingers for sunny days, but it’s overcast days like this that photographer’s love for the soft and even light. We spent the afternoon walking around Wesleyan in Middletown and checking out all that it had to offer. After exploring all the sights we went over to St. Clements Castle in Portland, CT. Jared and Brittany had a beautiful ceremony overlooking the Connecticut River. Fortunately the rain held off and the sun even poked out as they said “I do”. Congratulations Jared & Brittany!
