Saint Clements Castle Wedding

Wow it was a hot day for Ben & Tiffany’s Saint Clements Castle Wedding! We started the day getting ready at the hotel which was nice and air conditioned :). I always love when couples write each other cards to read on their wedding day, but Ben went one step above and wrote his future mother-in-law a card to read and I think she made it to the word “Mom” before getting emotional. Once Tiffany had her dress on it was time for her first look with her dad which was such a beautiful moment.

We then went over to Wesleyan College in Middletown for the first look between Ben & Tiffany! It was such a beautiful setting and we found some nice shade from one of the buildings for it. The pillars made for a great backdrop for this moment. Having a second photographer on a day like this was amazing, we divided up the groups to get the portraits done a little quicker so everyone could cool off on the way to Saint Clements Castle.

When we arrived to the castle we took a few pictures down at the marina which is a nice little spot that I don’t get over to very often. There are so many different angles to capture images from here. After a few minutes of being out in the heat we went to the castle to cool off and grab some details before the guests arrived.

It cooled off a little for the ceremony….it went from 100 degrees down to 93 haha. However, the ceremony was in the shade and overlooking the Connecticut River so it was definitely worth it.

After a few family formals outside and of course a few more of Ben & Tiffany we went inside for the rest of the night. Tiffany had a surprise song for Ben after their first dance. Everyone came out onto the dance floor and ff the Chicken Dance, which I must admit was the first time I saw this at a wedding, and it was awesome. The Shaded Soul Band rocked out the rest of the night as everyone had a great time.
